  • Unbelievable, this was one of the most relaxing weekends we have ever had. We weren't at a stranger's B&B. We were visiting relatives and friends. You guys are the quintessential hosts. We have permanent "dibs" on the Fern Room. We will be back again and again and again. We will also bring some more friends for you to meet.
  • H. & M.B., Beaverton, OR

This weekend provided us with a much needed break from the everyday stresses of life. A wonderful opportunity to reconnect with each other and the earth--we leave today better people--touched by the gracious hands and hearts and souls of mother earth, Sunrise & Jessica.

  • We came here in search of a quiet, restful and relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the stressed out world we live in. What we found was so much more! We came to celebrate our belated honeymoon as well as getting in quality relaxation before the arrival of our 1st child. From the delicious gourmet meals to the beautiful table side serenades to the very lovely Fern Room, this house is perfect. The view from our private patio amazing. The golf course through some amazingly beautiful wilderness. The wildlife everywhere you turn. Is this heaven??
  • E. & K.B.
  • A little piece of Heaven on Earth. Jessica and Sunrise, the two warmest, most gracious hosts we've ever met. You inn, really more like the home of a favorite relative, is an inspiration for us. We fell in love with the Pacific Northwest five years ago. After revisiting numerous times, we are literally counting down the months to retirement so we can move here. We have pictures of Lucy Mud to show our real estate agent and architect--"this is our dream"--
  • N. & J., McKinney, TX
  • What a special place. There is a real sense of the love and care you put into this place. Your presence on the land for all these years, that you built a new building that truly feels like it belongs here--few could do this. There is something here that feels like home to us. Maybe it's all the common experiences--Waukegan & Milwaukee; Brooklyn and N.J.; music; back-to-the-landers; teachers; Maine islands--whew! We'll be back.
  • A. & J.S., Tangent, OR
  • You are lucky to have found something you do so well and seem to enjoy so much, together. As innkeepers you are pros--the setting, the design of the inn, the furnishings, the food, and lots of small touches. But, we'll look back and remember most your good humor--it's contagious!
  • R. & K., Marshall, N.C.
  • Thanks for having Heaven on Earth! I feel so at home (yet much better) here.
  • K.W. & D. L.
  • The website--the ride--the place-->you guys. Sometimes magic works in truly wondrous ways--it's a connection which has taken up residence inside of me When it is a sanctuary I seek, Lucky Mud, Sunrise & Jessica is where I'll flee.
